I also used crunchy peanut butter, and didn’t cool them as long as the original recipe. I ended up switching things up a little by using mini chocolate chips, and a larger pan cutting the treats into longer and larger “bars”. The recipe sounded easy enough, so I tried it. That’s when I came across a Weight Watcher’s recipe that used only 4 basic ingredients (including Cheerios and honey in lieu of sugar) that are actually healthy for you. Well, I searched Cheerio recipes because that’s just what I happen to have on hand. Gently stir in chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. Stir in Cheerios and mix until well coated. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves and mixture just begins to boil. My family and I have been discussing how the days seem to be blending in together, and every day seems the same as the last. The combination of Cheerios, peanut butter, and chocolate make for a very satisfying, healthy treat that can be eaten for breakfast, dessert, or both □. I’m here to cheer you (and me) up □! These yummy Cheerio Cheer-Me-Up Bars have a light crunchy texture similar to Rice Krispie treats that is accompanied with the familiar taste of a Reese’s peanut butter cup.
